Ex-officio Past President Eddy F. Laird
 Eddy F. Laird, formerly President of Frederick Chapter of ASLTA (FASLTA), teaches bilingualism at McDaniel College, formerly known as Western Maryland College (WMC) where he also coordinates the ASL
Specialist program. He is noted for his expertise and advocacy in the use
of American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI). A graduate of
Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf and Gallaudet University, he
holds a Master's degree in special education from the University of
Tennessee and a second Master's in educational administration &
supervision from California State University, Northridge. He completed his
doctoral work in Deaf Studies/Deaf Education at Lamar University,
Beaumont, Texas.
